This was my first LR rifle. It introduced me to a whole new world. After this purchase I was hooked. Precise immediately, I'm talking about the first few shots spent for zeroing. Excellent stock. The Macmillan stock is second only to my AIAX, and that's saying something. Price/delivery/customer service answering every single "newbie" question. Great intro to the world of LR.

This seems to be a fine rifle. Very accurate like other reviewers--trpouble is, I can tell the cheaper ammo! Savage magazines are a nightmare to find. The rifle kicks like a horse--no accu-stock here. Shot 40 rounds and am bruised!

VERY accurate rifle hands down. This savage loves 168gr Amax's W/ IMR 8208, Fed Match LR Primers and Lapua brass. Ive got my best load from these ingrediants shooting 3 rds on a load testing day, measured out 3 shot group to .197" on a factory barrel. I can consistantly shoot 5 rounds thourgh dimes like its nothing.
