Purchased my new Mossberg 510 youth model pump shotgun for my Granddaughter that will start turkey hunting next year. I received the gun through my FFL dealer in great condition and assembled the gun without any problem. I haven't taken it out to shoot it yet but by the feel and looks of this shotgun I'm sure it will preform well. I think this gun will be a perfect fit for my granddaughter and she is ready to get started. Thank you Bud's for this great deal.

Before purchasing I compared all the youth 20g pump shotguns on the market and liked the ability of being able to lengthen the stock as my boy grows. Fit and finish are ok but not the greatest - pretty typical of most Mossberg's I've seen. My boy's 7 years old and average to above-average in height weight. With the short stock it fits him pretty good and should be his go-to gun for the next 5 years. I chose the 20g over the 410 because I wanted the gun to last. It kicks a little but he's able to take it. 410's a good choice but not the best choice for upland game and ducks.
