The first case arrived with a chipped inside lip/edge that could not have come from shipping. The plastic walls of the case are a little on the thin side and I would not trust this case to carry a valuable rifle or shotgun. The latches barely catch and the egg carton foam is cut thin, so when I closed and locked the case, my separated scope still slid into the rifle when I picked up the case by the handle. I could actually hear them "clang" together. Thin walled plastic is not such a problem in a pistol case; but, with a long rifle case you need something more rigid, especially considering the weight of two rifles. So, no, I cannot recommend this case. I tried to contact Plano; but, was placed on hold for a long time and then asked to leave a message and they will call you back. As usual, Bud's was good about replacement (glad I bought the shipping insurance).

The case itself is pretty solid. It will definately keep the kids from getting ahold of whatever rifle/shotgun you have inside. The only downside is that everytime you open it, the foam from the top falls right out. Really easy fix after adding some double sided tape to the inside. All in all, a good case for a decent price.
