This is the new line of 22 caliber rimfire rifles from Marlin. Perfect for target practice and small game, these bolt-action 22s are reliable, accurate and fun to shoot.

They come in several different models, with 4 or 7-shot clip magazines or 12-shot tube magazines; synthetic, hardwood or laminated stocks; ramp sights, hood sights or fiber-optic sights. All of them have Marlin innovations such as the Pro-Fire Adjustable Trigger and Micro-Groove® rifling. The XT-22 series comes chambered in 22 Short, 22 Long, 22 Long Rifle or 22 Winchester Magnum Rifle (WMR).

Have only fired a few rounds through this gun. It was shipped missing the magazine which slows shooting considerably. Marlin was contacted and agreed to immediately ship out the magazine. I wasn't too pleased with the fact that I could not put the gun on safe whether it was cocked or not. Waiting to get the magazine to see if it has to be in place to allow the rifle to be put on safety. Even if this is the case, that is not a safe way to build a gun. With respect to accuracy, it seems to shoot well.

Rifle looked fine at time of transfer. Once I got it home and began to clean it so I could take it to the range a problem became apparent. While attempting to pass a cleaning rod with jag and patch through the barrel( from the chamber end of course) the jag would not exit the muzzle. There were so many jagged burrs at the muzzle a cleaning rod could not pass. No idea how this passed inspection at Marlin. Contacted Marlin the following Monday as this was late on Friday afternoon. Rifle had to be sent to a repair facility in Michigan. I was told minimum return time is 12 weeks. Bud's as always a pleasure to do business with. Marlin, not so much!!

This is a really nice rifle. It shoots great, has hardly any felt recoil, and once I got the scope dialed in, I was actually shooting 1/2 inch groups at 50 rds in the seated position. This rifle is very accurate and consistent. Bolt action is one of my favorites so I like this part of the weapon. Trigger is a little heavy but has a very clean break. I have shot about 200rds through it and not one issue! For the price, you can't beat it. Great deal.

Bought this for my daughter to go plinking with me. This gun is fun to shoot and accurate once you get the scope dialed in. Shot 100 rounds through it and not a single problem. She cannot wait for weather to get better so we can go shoot some more. She loved the idea that we ca adjust the trigger pull (have not done so far) but trigger is good right out of the box. An amazing rifle. Bought it with the intention of introducing my 11 year old son to shooting. He loves it. My wife loves it. I love it. Never owned a bolt action rifle before so I dont have anything to compare it against. But everything has operated flawlessly so far. Everyone loves operating the bolt, the mag loads easily, the scope is nice, and it is pretty easy to clean. Couldn't ask for more from a $200 rifle.
