The $1199 model is the P226 Legion model. It comes with Sig X-Ray night sights, three mags, G10 grips, and Legion grey finish. The stainless model is the Stainless Elite. Has standard night sights, wood grips, and extended beavertail grip. Also, the grey P226 you referenced is the single action only model 226. The stainless model is DA/SA.

James, other than the Action difference, the cost difference is due to the number of each in stock, Buds prices are tied to stock level and lower stock firearms will have a higher price compared to similar higher stock firearms. This is even within the same models with different colors.

Donald, no Sir. The slide is not milled for addition of a Red Dot.

Does the SAO or DASA have a better trigger? Are they similar in SA? I am comfortable with both Sig Sauer actions and want a Legion. Please help me decide which to purchase

Marty, it is my opinion that the DASA will have a better SA trigger pull over the SAO. They are so close on the Legion that most would not readily notice the difference but, the DASA has a cleaner "break" and much less take up till break as well.

The image shows the DA/SA version but the description and part number says it is the SAO version. The first review also mentions the buyer getting the wrong version (DA/SA not the SAO). Just checking since I really want the SAO version.

Hey Eric, I hope you got it figured out. This one is the SAO pistol per the part number. There were multiple other reviews since that first review as I'm sure you are aware that show it as SAO. Wouldn't hurt to call Buds though just to verify what you are getting 859) 368-0371. Hope this helps!

I love Sigs! This is my 2nd P226... one in 40sw and now the Legion in 9mm. Both have been a joy to shoot. The trigger is excellent and between what seems to be a better controlled felt recoil, the sights and the SRT trigger on this legion, it is easy to stay on target during double taps and rapid fire. This is definitely a keeper for the range. A bit heavier than I prefer for my everyday carry, but for the range and for competing, it's perfect. If you've not owned a P226, you don't know what you're missing. I highly recommend this firearm to all.

I’ve been looking at one of these forever and was finally able to get one. I’ve shot about 300 rounds thru it so far and it has worked flawlessly. Smooth, minimal recoil, extremely accurate. The SAO trigger is sweet, and the reset is ridiculously short. Best shooting gun by far I’ve ever owned, and I have had CZs, HKs, Springfields, and other Sigs. The perfect handgun in my opinion!

The Sig P226 Legion SAO is an outstanding handgun! The fit and finish are exemplary, the grip fits perfectly in my hand and the single action trigger feels like the best of 1911 triggers. The short, crisp reset is incredible. The handgun is world class. I would put it up against any pistol I have ever owned. Thanks Buds for an incredible buying experience! Get one - you will not be disappointed!

The lowest price I've ever seen on a P226 Legion SAO, or any other for that matter. $950!!!! I couldn't click buy fast enough, been waiting to pick one up for over 5 years. Outstanding single action trigger with a short reset. G10 checkered grips fit my XL hand perfectly. Ran 200 rounds straight out the box with flawless function. I cant believe its still in stock, grab one while you can. I bought the optics ready slide from Sig Sauer and still spent less than a complete Legion pistol at regular prices. This is the best pistol Sig has ever made.

The absolute best handgun I have ever shot. Trigger is amazing and is super accurate. Quality is top notch. Fits my hand much better than a 1911 but has the same single action trigger. Do not hesitate to buy you will not be disappointed!!!
