SCCY's CPX-2 is designed for concealed carry but large enough to get a good firm grip. It is considered to be one of the best priced, precision made "Pocket Pistols" on the market. Chambered for 9mm, it has a 3.1" barrel with a 16:1" right hand twist. The receiver is made from 7075 T6 aircraft grade heat treated aluminum alloy. The Zytel polymer frame features ergonomic finger grooves and an integral recoil cushion on the backstrap. The slide is machined from stainless steel with a Zytel overmolded polymer extension for ease of operation. It has 3-dot sights with a windage-adjustable rear. This DAO has an internal hammer with inertial firing pin to prevent accidental discharge. It has a smooth, consistent 9-pound trigger pull. It comes with two 10-round magazines with finger extensions bases installed and two flat magazine bases. This CPX-2 has a satin slide with a crimson frame.

The firearm has a good feel in the hand, has little recoil, and is sighted in well. However though it will feed the bullets it won’t reset the trigger, not even observing the double action on the trigger. I just had the opportunity to take it to the range this past week and discovered that I have to rack the slide about half way in order to get the trigger to reset. I feel it needs to be repaired and am wondering what the options are. Would it involve exchanging the firearm or something else. Too much time involved for protection purposes with the slide reset if not done just right it ejects the bullet and feeds a new one.

VERY GOOD EXPECTATIONS, REVIEWS LOOKED OUTSTANDING. I DID NOT EVEN SHOOT IT. I TRIED TWO DIFFERENT AMMO LOADS AND NEITHER WOULD LOAD. NOT WILLING TO TAKE A CHANCE. WILL SELL IT AT MY FIRST OPPORTUNITY. TRIGGER WOULD NOT RESET WHEN DRY FIRING.

I suppose the jury is still out but my SCCY won't shoot Fiocci hollow points without jamming. Jams on every round except the first one in the chamber. Worked ok on Cabelas hollow points which are not really hollow but scored with a cross. FMJ works perfectly every time so that is what I am using. SCCY's famed customer service was of little help. They wanted me to send in the magazines but when I told them I thought jamming was due to the feed ramp, I never heard back. I like the gun otherwise. Accurate enough and looks great. The trigger is not heavy as I had heard but then I am used to revolvers. Rapid fire no problem. Hard to beat for $186.

I bought this for my wife for Christmas. She's new to guns and thought that the size was just right for her small hands. The double action only is for her safety until she gets more experience. She keeps it near her and does not use it for concealed carry. She also liked the color, s chick thing. I fired a bounce of rounds and thought it was fun. With the exception of the double action, it shots just as good as my Glock 43.
