Easy to handle very confort and love the color

I bought the SCCY CPX-2 to be a backup leave in the car gun. If my car were to get broken into, it wouldn’t be the end of the world losing a $200 pistol as opposed to a $1000 Kimber I side carry. Bud’s had the best price I could find and it made it a no brainer to get this ordered.

I didn’t like this gun and ended up selling it. The trigger was way too much heavy.

Everyone should have a white pistol.

These are solid little pistols, great for beginners.

Pros:
1. The supplied magazine has a pinky grip, which makes this gun very comfortable to hold for a small gun.
2. Personal preference, but I like the 3 dot sights (2 rear 1 front) as opposed to the Glock style rectangle rear.
3. Easy to take apart and clean. I don't mind that I need something like a shell casing or screwdriver to nudge out the one pin required to remove. I have to do that with my Ruger Security 9, too, and I don't mind.
Cons:
1. Poor QA. Out of the box, the slide lock made it almost impossible to release the slide until after several days of trying and sometimes having to force it down even with the slide pulled back. After 50 or more times (I lost count), it broke in enough to be usable.
2. The magazine release is in a very poor location for my hand. Not the release button itself, but the other side. My hand covers the button on the other side and prevents the release from fully pushing through, so either the magazine doesn't release, or I have to pull it out. If I reposition my hand to open up that spot, I end up rubbing against the pinky extension on the slide, which prevents the magazine from dropping. I suppose I could find some way to learn how to get around this, but no other handgun I've used gives me this problem.
3. There's nothing even remotely related to a safety. Loaded, empty, empty chamber, one in the chamber, magazine in, magazine out, it doesn't matter. You can always "fire" it. I suppose if you haven't racked one in the chamber, pulling the trigger won't fire anything and won't load a round into the chamber, since the slide doesn't get pushed back with a dry fire. But that means you either have to carry with one in the chamber with no safety features, or rack the slide when you draw which (IMO) isn't ideal unless you're trained to make racking it on draw second nature.
