Excellent pistol and excellent service from Bud's as usual. I put a Hogue grip on mine because the stock grip is a little small for me.

Best all around carry revolver! You will need a good holster because this thing is a brick. The weight is fine and will tame some .357 recoil. 38 +p loads barely make the muzzle rise. 2.5 inch barrel is perfect for chest holster carry. take a speed loader along in the pocket and you have enough ammo to deal with anything in the woods.

Great revolver so far everything was great

Smooth and consistent trigger. Manageable recoil on magnum loads and light recoil shooting 38sp. I’m not the best shot in the world using the double action trigger, but even with the short sight radius I was able to hit center mass consistently at 25 yards. An excellent all-purpose revolver.

First off, Buds was great as always: easy ordering and fast shipping. This Ruger feels great in the hand and the heft makes the recoil of .357 Magnum very manageable. That being said I have to agree with the other reviews here about problems with overall quality. When loading all 7 shots it would get stuck trying to eject the spent shells. I contacted Ruger, got an RMA and shipped it back. Within a few days they sent me a new one. The new one had the same issue. I went through the RMA process shipped it back again. This time they "repaired cylinder chambers". This finally did the trick. I've only gone through a couple hundred rounds but its working like a champ now. Had it worked like this the first time I would definitely have given it 5-stars.

This GP100 was just what I've been wanting from Ruger. I can carry this appendix carry all day but you must have the right holster and good belt. Shot 250 rounds on first range trip...50 of those were Remingting UMC 125gr SJSP 357, 100 personal reloads of 357, and 100 Winchester 130gr 38 specials. No sticky exactions or stuck shells. My only complaint is that I couldn't get the rear sight height adjusted enough to get POA. Mine shoots high with the ammo I had. I believe mine have a low rear sight so I will order a High rear sight to see if that changes things.

Great product at a great price. Dependable dealer and Bud's always delivers in a timely manner. This Ruger is great for my needs. I can take it to the range and/or use it as home defense. The 357 magnum rounds can really get your attention. Ruger always makes quality guns.

The Ruger GP100 7rd revolver with a 2 1/2 inch barrel would barely shoot. Sometimes I couldn't push the ammo into all of the chambers far enough to get the cylinder closed. When I did get the cylinder closed, sometimes they would back out far enough while shooting to jam the cylinder. Sometimes I couldn't make the empty cases eject. These problems occurred with both factory magnums and light reloads. My first GP100 was a beautiful shooter. This one was shockingly unreliable. I am currently waiting for Ruger to send me the replacement that is promised. I will make no recommendation to buy or not buy this gun until I test the replacement.

Fantastic Ruger revolver. Ran 50 rounds 357Mag Blazer with no problems and no pain. Still getting acclimated, but is accurate and fun to shoot. Workmanship and trigger are great and the price point is excellent.
