A pretty great gun overall. I've used it for over 5 years and about 3000 - 5000 rounds. So for only found one load that would not cycle correctly and it was a case of cheap Herters low brass target loads. Those would require manual ejection due to low power and tight chamber fit after firing. Disassembly for cleaning is pretty easy, but reassembly is always a bit challenging to get the barrel to smoothly engage the upper action. Requires a lot more cleaning due to gas action than a similar gun with inertia drive action. I wish I had bought the 3 1/2" Stoeger.

Great shotgun, feels very nice and well made!

Great gun for the money. Put 25 rounds of magnums thru it as suggested for break in. No problems. Finish is nice but the fit is commence orate with a $550 gun. It’s tight but needs a little finesse to fit. Had some issues with assembly?? Otherwise would recommend

I bought my first Viper G2 approx 7 years ago. During that time I dare say I put several thousand rounds through that firearm. I've hunted dove, squirrel, rabbit, ducks, crows and coyote. I've shot skeet several times a year with it as well. My nephew was always borrowing the gun as well. He too loved it. The firearm NEVER malfunctioned on me. Unfortunately, I had to sell it due to lack of work because such things as groceries and electricity require money to purchase. I was very fortunate be able to purchase a new Viper G2 from Bud's gun shop just a couple of months later. This firearm seems to function just as well as the first one I purchased a few years back. I'm still not a fan of the black spacers that are provided with a gun the has a camo finish. Speaking of the camo finish......The "old" Viper G2 had an Advantage Timberline camo finish that I really liked and looked exactly like the gun pictured on Bud's website.The "new" gun has the same finish and is marked as so. However, there is a very noticeable difference in the color of the finish. The "new" gun is considerable darker. Not dark enough that I would consider returning it though. This was the first firearm that I ever purchased from Bud's. Yes, I was pleased at how easy and trouble free the transaction went. I hope to purchase other firearms from Buds in the near future.
