yes it is a .357 checked by UPC it is a incorrect "stock" photo

The UPC for this gun is indeed a .357. Buds uses a lot of stock photos which don;t always accurately represent every detail about the firearm being sold. Yes, it's a .357 rated revolver, and you can also shoot .38 special in it.

How is this not plus p rated when it shoots the much heavier 357 round?

It is +p rated the Windicator.38 special only guns are not +p rated

Good eye Joseph. Any 357Magnum firearm would be +P rated just by being a "357MAGNUM"! This is EAA's direct answer to the 38Special Only pistols they make : The use of reloaded, Super-Vel, +P, high pressure or hand-loaded ammunition can be dangerous and will void the warranty. .

How does this compare to the Taurus ultra lite 85?

I have this pistol Brian and it is actually large and heavy. It's built like a tank but is not a comfortable carry pistol. The pictures of it belies it's actual size.

being a .357 the eaa is a much heavier built revolver it will be more enjoyable to shoot the Taurus will be easier to carry

ok so i sent an email to Eaa on the usage of +p ammo . I aked them how can the online manual state "no +p ammo " in a hundgun made and chamered in 357 magnum. got an answer back, no +p at all. any one out there have any trouble with #57 mag ammo in this gun. thanks mike

No issues whatsoever Mike. I have this very pistol and 75% of my ammunition has been +P 38 Special and the rest Full House 357 Magnum. EAA's answer does not make any sense relating to this 357Mag pistol.

I would ask does the .38 and .357 share the same owners manual if so the warning is really for the .38. Not all gun manufacturers employees are gun guys

Make sure to check the screw that holds cylinder in place, it it will work itself lose sometimes when shooting and make you think that the cylinder is loose. What you need to do is get some blue lock tight and put a little on the screw and tighten back up and you will not have any problems with loose cylinders!

Please note this in your review. I just heard of Taurus sight screws wiggling out and then taking weeks to replace (or wait for the mail). So the more people aware and prepared, the better.

Thanks Tim, I have a 2" Windicator and did this very thing 7 years ago. Thought it was just mine but apparently not my man! (You would think a pistol this big would be built like a tank).

Heavy and big size for a 2" barrell gun, well made, runs throught, check timming for the mass and go right. Well german gun on the budget, I use 38 special rounds.

I purchased a EAA 2inch revolver 38, 357 magnum. Well let me tell you, this is the sweetest revolver in my collection. I absolutely love it. It shoots very smooth with minimal recoil because of the weight of it. The accuracy was pin point center. The hammer was smooth and the trigger just rolled with ease. I will carry this every day of the week.

This is my second EAA windicator I purchased the 4 inch barrel several years ago and love it so I needed the 2 inch barrel to add to my collection.These revolvers are built like a tank they are great quality handguns they shoot excellent right out of the box with no failures,for the price it's well worth the money I definitely recommend for anyone.

The EAA Windicator 357 magnum 6 shot revolver is a all blued steel rubber grips fixed sights 2 inch snub nose single double action revolver made in Germany it’s fairly heavy but soaks up recoil with the weight and rubber grips the trigger has a extremely heavy pull but cylinder trigger timing is solid I painted a florescent orange stripe on the front sight for quick sight pick up it’s not a pretty S&W with a big pretty price it’s a blue collar blaster with a very nice soft easy price it will go bang when you pull the trigger with no failures and won’t make you take a second job to buy it

I am not incredibly familiar with wheel guns as the majority of my pistols are semi-auto. I had been looking for an affordable, quality 357 mag/.38 Special snub nose revolver for CC & in-truck safe. Everything I had read about this EAA Windicator was positive, and then Buds comes up with a killer deal for the 2" model, which I quickly snapped up. Took it to the range this week and truly love it. I put 357 & .38 rounds through it, about 25 & 100 respectively, and it worked flawlessly. It is a super comfortable pistol to shoot, even with 357 Magnum. The aim is excellent. The weight of a loaded 2" Windicator is dang near perfect, IMO. If I had to have a gripe, the grip seemed a bit small for me. But, once I shot it, I quickly fell in love with it and wouldn't dream of trying to relace the grip. I purchase stuff from Buds often and they are always a first stop when I go looking for firearms, parts & accessories.

This is a great budget friendly 357 mag snub revolver . Great German quality build and fair price . Is compact but heavy enough to handle 357 magnum rounds , the plastic grip is firm and gives you a trustful solid hold . The trigger and hammer pull are heavy but in some way makes you secure of no miss fires. The trigger have some very aggressive texture , you get your finger really beat up after 36 rounds of 357 mag. But with some hard polish in the trigger you can make it smooth. We get fixed sights and witn a little orange paint in the front sight your ready to go .

The only problem that i have encountered with this firearm is some smaller grain 125 remanfactured are loose in the cylinder and it cause the the cylinder to jam. Other than that its been extremely good
