If you have smaller hands the grip will be fine. Since it's a small Pistol it's going to have a decent amount of recoil for a 9mn and some smaller pistols can be hard to rack the slide. Unfortunately that's true with most smaller Pistols. Hope this helps and good luck with your choice.

I'd say no. Bought my wife one of these and sold it two days later because she had trouble racking the slide and the recoil was to much because the pistols small. My wife has big hands so I think majority of the issue was because she couldn't get a good grip on it. So if you have small hands it shouldn't be too bad. I'd still recomend a little bigger of a pistol because the weight will help with recoil. Hope this helps.

Does Ruger and the EC9S have a lifetime warranty?

Ruger doesn't actually offer any warranty but they stand behind their products. They have great customer service and I've heard stories of people weather they were the first or third owner Ruger will repair it at no cost to the owner. From what I hear they don't offer a written warranty for legality reasons but pretty much they have an unconditional lifetime warranty and will fix it at no cost to you if you have any issues. yes it is +P rated however +P ammo will cause faster wear on the gun so I would only shoot enough to find a reliable and accurate defense load the shoot standard 9MM for range/practice

Yes it rated plus P but worth such a light small gun it'll make it really snappy and unpleasant to shoot, probably want to limit plus P to deffensive ammo and do range/practice with standard pressure.

Yes, Ruger ec9s can handle+p ammunition. Ruger recommends limited use since +p ammo can wear parts quicker than standard velocity ammo but unless you're shooting thousands of rounds doubt you'll ever notice a difference from standard velocity ammo. Hope this helps.

Caleb, the EC9s has an Overall Length of 6" - Overall Height is 4.5" & Weight is 17.2 ounces. The Ruger LCR has a Length of 6.50" - Height of 4.50" & Weight of 13.5 oz. (the LCR is half inch longer, both are the same height and the EC9s is 3.7ozs heavier.

Caleb, Almost same size. EC9S 6" long 4.5" tall. CPX2 5.7" long 4.5" tall. Difference is 3.12" barrel on EC9S and 3.1" barrel on CPX2. EC9s is 17.2 oz and CPX2 is 15 oz.

Caleb, height, length yes. The EC9s is a single stack and is thinner and will accommodate pocket carry much much better Sir.

Caleb, I have owned both, still do, and find myself carrying the EC9s more often due to the single stack design. If more capacity is your thing then I would look at the Taurus G2C over the CPX 2 as it has a smoother slide action and much better trigger.

This is the Ruger EC9S, a "New & Improved" version of the highly-successful LC9S pistol. The EC9S is a striker-fired semi-auto designed for the concealed carry market. It uses the same magazines as the LC9S, with the biggest obvious difference between the two beings the fact that the sights on the EC9S are machined directly into the slide. The EC9S has a slim, lightweight and compact design, with glare-reducing rear facing cocking serrations and a finger grip extension floorplate that can be added to the 7-round magazine for comfort and improved grip. Safety features include integrated trigger safety, manual safety, magazine disconnect and an inspection port that allows for visual confirmation of a loaded or empty chamber.

Cheap, but works amazingly well. I've had the LCP and hated it due to constant FTF and FTE. This is not the same my friends, she works and she goes bang every time!

Junk, firing pin tip broke after 50 rounds. Complained to Ruger and they wanted to charge me for a new assembly until I told them I bought it 4 months before. Cheesy, but sorta accurate and easy to conceal.

Small, unobtrusive and quality built. Bought it for my wife. Having no interest in engaging in an extended firefight, especially at a distance, the short barrel and limited number of rounds don't concern her too much. Having once been a Boy Scout though, I did buy a second magazine.

The Ruger EC9s is the first hand gun I've owned. I really like the way it fits my hand. It has a bit of a kick but I don't have a problem with that. Bud's made it very easy to choose my gun and ammo. And the buying processes was easy. We have since purchased more from Bud's and plan on being long time customers.
