I was looking for a 308 that was built a bit better than their budget axis/trophy hunter line, the Savage Arms 110 Tactical did not disappoint. this is heavy barreled gun and is fluted. the action is butter smooth and I've never had feeding or ejection issues at about 500 rounds of all different types of ammo brands and weights. Magazine Easy sliding and out with a good positive seating. Threads were cut perfectly and machined smooth. stock is robust and not cheap feeling. again, Shes a heavy girl but perfect for bench shooting. i do love the oversized bolt lever and the bolt is easily removed. im very happy with my purchase.

Very precise, both suppressed and unsuppressed! Currently using a lighter 130 grain load, and it'll put the shots through the same hole.

I absolutely love this gun. It is rather heavy and cumbersome, but that is fine for it’s intended purpose i would say. I have this equipped with a muzzle brake and a Vortex Hellfire scope and it is a tack driver. The 10rnd magazine is fantastic, how could you not love a Savage rifle that accepts magpul mags? The oversized bolt is flawless and the adaptability of the stock is a winning feature. Buds has the best prices and shipping is fast!

Extremely high expectations for this 110 tactical from Savage. I reviewed the firearm thoroughly after receiving it from the FFL. After I got home and was doing a torque inspection of all the nuts and bolts. I found the picitinny rail sitting attached at a angle. I removed the screws and 1 was cross threaded into the action from the factory. Luckily the receiver hole threads were not damaged, just the picitinny screws. I called EGW to buy new screws and told them what Savage had done. EGW had awesome customer service and sent me new screws for free. If those don't work, I'll be sending this back to Savage for repairs. No fault on Buds end. The firearm arrived fast after payment. Just wish I would have caught the issue at the FFL.

First, Bud's is awesome. Second, Savage used to make spectacular guns for the money. Apparently, that is over. This rifle shoots well, but the chamber was so rough, it looked like it had been cut on a lathe too fast, that it would not extract. The chamber basicaly had small serrations throughout that would hold the casing once expanded, the extractor would rip the rim off the case. I honed the chamber and fixed the problem, ejection is still poor, though.

I’ve had this a couple weeks and made two trips to range. Mounted a mid-grade leupold 3x9. First trip to range to break on I was king of ho hum …okay rifle but nothing special. Shot a box of rounds while periodically punching the bore.
Second trip to range and it came to life. Clover leafed a group of three at 100 yards, with all groups being an inch or less.
I have two 110’s, the other being a 24 inch barrel predator in 6.5 Creedmoor. Love em both. People like to complain about savage bolts being “sloppy”, but both my rifles operate smoothly with a pronounced lock up. The tactical model is well balanced and accu sock is a great system.
If you are looking for a go to .308, the Savage Tactical is your gun!
