This seems to be advertised for accuracy. What about self defense? Does anyone think it’s worth it or not worth it?

Hello there sweets. I could say yes that they’ll be good for self defense. They weigh lighter but travel faster. 22 magnum is a small force to reckoned with. You’re right, as they are more for speed and accuracy. Still, I’d prefer hollows. That’s just me. Happy shootin.

I have a 22 magnum kel tec PMR 30 handgun. Since this round doesn’t have a traditional shaped bullet do you think it would cycle with minimal issue out of my semi auto? I haven’t seen any videos of that. I want to buy this ammo in bulk to save some cash. Thanks.

These will cycle in the gun. Or better I should say the gun will cycle these rounds with no issue, unless your gun is already having an issue then the issue won’t be the ammo.

Gill, the 30 grain V-Max's will cycle without issue and you will be surprised at the accuracy out of your Kel tec PMR 30 handgun Sir.

Gill, These rounds will have plenty of gas to cycle your PMR.

Assuming you have either a new (current) generation PMR or have sent an original production model (think pre 2011) back for updating, these V-Max rounds should cycle and feed fine. The first gen PMR's didn't like most 30grain ammo, but Kel-Tec has long since remedied that issue.

They should cycle. Hornady did a good job in creating these bullets and KEL TEC made a good gun.

You can not shoot 22 mag in a 22 lr gun They will not fit (some revolvers can shoot both by changing cylinder) and you can not shoot 22lr in a 22 mag (you will have split cases and safety issues

Nice clean burning. My Smith & Wesson revolver has had a trigger tune and some misfires happened but nothing to do with the ammo. Nice and accurate and can't wait to go varmint hunting with this one. I shoot many calibers and the 22WMR is bedoming one of my favorite rounds. Going through over 2000 rounds a week from 9mm, 45 ACP and 38 special it gets pricey so the 22 Mag is wonderful, highly recommended. Thank you Buds for having stock and affordability on ammo. I appreciate you folks.

This is some of the best ammo in .22 magnum that I know of. Have taken coyotes at over 300 yds with one at 500 yds. It's accurate and super fast out the muzzle. I am reordering today.
