Ben, I have the Henry 357mag/38spl rifle and have used this ammo without any problem. You have to remember that it does take some amount of force to "punch" the primer hard enough to fire. When dropping a cartridge down the loading tube, it will "ride" or "scrape" the sides of tube as it goes down. You can hear it traveling down the tube and this sound is caused by friction between the cartridge and tube sides. Consequently, the cartridge cannot reach sufficient velocity to actually strike the tip of another cartridge in the and fire. That said, for safety sake always keep your face and fingers/hands away from the tube opening when loading regardless of what brand/type of ammo you are loading in a front loading tube type magazine.

Ben, No issue with the soft point round. No chance of the soft point round setting off a primer in the tube magazine.

The soft tips keep the round from igniting the round in front of it. Keep in mind that Henry says there could be some feeding issues with this ammo. The tip makes the round a little longer. My Henry rifle (537 mag) does not like to eject an unfired round of it. It will eject with some extra effort, and this the ammo I use.

One of the animals. LOL. I guess it is a beast of a round by Hornady. This will be safe in a tube fed rifle, such as the one you mentioned. Rest assured that it is safe to do so. If anything, just be a little mire safer while loading them.

Ben, yes Sir this is safe in a lever rifle tube. This round has a specifically designed Soft/Flexible Tip that will not ignite the primer in the round in front of it. Cheers!

man there very nice I like them for home protection with other rounds they will probably go threw one wall to the next to the next but with these I feel comfortable but carful about if I have to god I pray I don’t it want go threw the purp and threw a wall I shot a few rounds at the range very nice round very happy with these rounds for home protection

Love hornady in general. These rounds are pretty good (haven’t used in hunting) and they seem to have some good ballistics. I was firing just at 25 to 75 yards and compared to the other rounds I shoot (all 158 grain) these do shoot a bit higher as expected but my Henry liked them with an inch or so group at 50 yards. Wouldn’t expect much better from a lever gun to be honest. Are they worth the extra price? I’m not sure if you shot a coyote with them they’d know any different from a standard soft point. Would I use these for deer? Even though they say you can, I think I’d prefer a bigger round.

I really like the Leverevolution line in all the calibers (except 45 Colt, which is weak). They are loaded to be nice and stout, no slouch. I guess they err on the side of caution in 45LC just like other manufacturers, because it would be unsafe in older guns. But the magnums, the 30-30 and 45-70 are nice and stout.

This stuff is extremely hard to find in .357 magnum. I love it because it pairs great in my .357 Ruger Blackhawk SA AND my .357 lever action carbine. So whenever I see it here, I grab some.

I prefer Hornady LeverEvolution 357 MAG 140 Grain Flex Tip while shooting my .357 magnum. The ammo is very accurate and smooth shooting. This is always my prefered ammo if it is instock and the pricing is good.

These seem to be the only ballistic tip bullets I can find for my .357. They seem. To shoot fine from my Henry. Can't wait until hunting season to see the results.
