Art, yes sir, this is Connecticut compliant because it has a fixed stock and doesn't have a threaded barrel. So this is perfectly legal in Connecticut. Hope this helps.

John, this looks like it should be good to go in MA. Being a semi-automatic rifle that has an ability to accept a detachable magazine, it only has 1 of the 2 evil features (pistol grip) that would make it a banned weapon. This compliant version has a non-threaded barrel and a fixed stock.

This rifle is should be eligible for purchase in MA. As it wouldn't fall under the Assault weapon category according to MA definition of assault weapons. "✘ Massachusetts-defined “Assault Weapons” ✘ Any semi-automatic rifle that has an ability to accept a detachable magazine and has at least two of the following: ●Folding or telescoping stock ●Pistol grip that protrudes conspicuously beneath the action of the weapon ●A bayonet mount ●Flash suppressor or threaded barrel designed to accommodate a flash suppressor ●Grenade launcher"" This rifle does not have a threaded barrel or a flash suppressor, and the stock is fixed. Yes, this is the 'compliant' version. In addition to the 10 round magazine, it also has a non-threaded barrel and a fixed stock, which makes it NJ compliant. Seems to me if you wanted the other version, you would just need 10 round mags to make it MD legal. Weight comes in at just under 5 lbs, 4.7.

Arthur, Unfortunately you live in a state that is constantly trampling on the second amendment rights of citizens while they can't outright ban guns NY makes it incredibly difficult and time consuming to do so. This way it will deter people from purchasing. your best bet in NY is to go to a gun shop and buy one. It may be more costly but at least you will have one that is compliant in your state. The extra money you will save is not worth potential jail time

I would think not, you need to get out of that place and move to, some where you can buy and own real guns, or stop putting people back in office that does nothing for you. You need to put someone in there, that will let you chose for yourself what you can and can not own.

Hi Daniel, There is a "Performance Center" model match grade barrel. I assume they are made by Thompson Center since Smith&Wesson bought the company. I searched the S&W website to see if there are match barrels available, but found nothing.

Not a bad rifle, good for target practice/range. Priced right as well.

Same size and feel as an AR15 but much lighter. It's like the glock of the AR family, with both a polymer upper and lower. The buffer tube is hollow and is a molded part of the upper, and there is no dust cover over the ejection port, or forward assist, but everything else seems spec with a standard AR. The NJ compliant one has a tiny roll pin fixing the stock in the most extended position. Easy to remove if needed with a mallet and nail or screwdriver (if you live in a state that allows for telescoping stocks). No threading on the barrel and a 10 rd mag. Easy to customize with AR accessories. M-Lok handguard is a nice upgrade.

So far it has been a great gun. I've used it twice so far and I've put about 400 rounds through it. No complaints except I would personally upgrade the sights.
