• Q: Is this model compliant in Maryland?

  Joseph, this is MD legal. The detachable magazine, telescoping stock and flash hider are not prohibited.
  It even states on the S&W web site that this is MD compliant.
  The following are prohibited:
  ✘ Rifles with a capacity over 10 rounds.
  ✘ Semi-automatic rifles with a detachable magazine and have any TWO of the following
  features:
  1. Folding stock (Not including telescoping [collapsible] stock)
  2. Grenade launcher or flare launcher
  3. Flash suppressor
  .
  This does not have 2 of the 3 features listed above, it only has the flash hider, therefore it is MD legal.

  Hi Anthony, no sir, this is not Illinois compliant.
  "Assault weapon" means any of the following:
  A. A semiautomatic rifle that has the capacity to accept a detachable magazine or that may be readily modified to accept a detachable magazine, if the firearm has one or more of the following:
  i. a pistol grip or thumbhole stock;
  ii. any feature capable of functioning as a protruding grip that can be held by the non-trigger hand;
  iii. a folding, telescoping, thumbhole, or detachable stock, or a stock that is otherwise foldable or adjustable in a manner that operates to reduce the length, size, or any other dimension, or otherwise enhances the concealability of, the weapon;
  iv. a flash suppressor;
  v. a grenedae launcher;
  vi. a shroud attached to the barrel or that partially or completely encircles the barrel, allowing the bearer to hold the firearm with the non-trigger hand without being burned, but excluding a slide that encloses the barrel.

• Q: Hello, I wondered if this rifle, or a close model type, would be Washington state compliant? I have heard that rimfire rifles may or may not fall under our recently updated state laws, but get different answers depending on who I ask.

  Hi Nathan, yes sir, this is WA legal. Read section .iv - "A semiautomatic, center fire rifle that has the capacity to accept a detachable magazine and has one or more of the following:" etc, etc, --- Note it says center fire rifle, it does not say rim fire.

  James' quote below was taken out of context, you need to read the whole thing. It further states "To purchase semi-automatic rifles as defined above, a person must be a resident of the state and minimum 21 years of age." So, a rimfire rifle can be defined as an assault weapon, but if you are 21 or older, you can purchase it.

• Q: My order was canceled after being informed by your staff that this M&P 15-22 was not Massachustts Complaint. The S&W M&P-15-22 is available for sale in Mass gunshops both used and new. Is there some other reason why this cannot be shipped to Massachustts?

  Phillip, yes, this is threaded with 1/2×28 thread pitch and has a A2 style flash hider. Hope this helps.
• Q: I purchased this under California Compliant, but when choosing my FFL dealer I received a pop saying it wasn't on the California DOJ. I reached out to a buds representative but they didn't seem to really know but suad I should be fine. I purchased and I'm waiting for it to arrive..hoping all goes well but would be nice to have some peace of mind 😌 Thanks

  John, yes sir, buds website needs updated. This is California compliant. Rimfire rifles dont have the same strict laws like center fire calibers. So you sre good to go.
