This gun is beautiful and the Craftsmanship is flawless. I was a little wary purchasing this gun without being able to personally inspect it but I have been happy with all my prior purchases through Buds, including another Smith and wesson revolver, a. 44 magnum stealth hunter. The last four S&W revolvers I have purchased including the two from Buds have been perfect and I wouldn’t hesitate to order another from them.

VERY fine piece of workmanship. Smooth trigger in both DA and SA. I have many wheels and this ranks very highly

Was finally able to get to the range today to shoot the 627 v-comp. I will admit to my lack of experience and expertise, but after years of shooting semi auto’s I found that I have an affinity to revolvers dating back 15 years to the first time I fired a well loved Python. Over the last 9 months, I have been able to shoot more than a few 4”-6” revolvers and finally decided to get the v-comp. It did not disappoint. The trigger is wonderful lending to a very smooth pull in DA. 38 rounds are easy on the hand. While 357 rounds are a bit more snappy, the weight of the gun make them easy to manage. Very happy with my purchase, with Bud’s & my FFL.

This pistol is one of my best purchases to date. It’s what other pistols dream of becoming. A hack like me can shoot well and hit my target. The action is very smooth DA and beautiful SA.
No flinch no miss.

This pistol is a representative of what the Performance Center at Smith & Wesson is capable of. Wow. I am impressed. I expected this revolver to be a sweetheart so it's not like a set the bar low. This thing is above and beyond. It's a mechanical beauty with a side of beast. The compensator works great to tame the hot n' heavy stuff but it comes with a non compensated muzzle cap if you prefer that or you're shooting in a division that doesn't allow for compensators. Also something to think about, if you buy a lesser pistol and do all the work yourself the value won't retain nearly as well as if you just pony up and buy one that's already been through the Performance Center and had the work done.

What's not to love? Smooth Performance Center action, a comp that tames magnums ( as if the heft of the gun weren't enough), 8 rounds, and it's just plain bad ass looking. 'Nuff said!

Not a bad revolver, but not worth the price. The compensator didn't do anything more than a regular ported barrel revolver. Very accurate.

Fantastic 357 magnum, one of the most accurate handguns I own. Craftsmanship is perfect if you get the chance to grab one of these do it you won't be disappointed it isn't cheap but the best never are. This is top of the line handgun.

Great firearm!!! Put this on my wish list 3 days later got an email from Bud's saying they had it, so I figured I better jump on it. 5 days later it was at my FFL. Very accurate handgun, and my gunsmith is sticking a 2x handgun scope on it for me. I was amazed and the craftsmanship of this firearm compared to my standard line S&W's. I have now ordered the one in 44mag. I can say the v-comp helps with muzzle flip, but if you shot it at night is still puts out quite the flash. As always Bud's has been great.
