• Q: How many mags come included with purchase? and does it work with any 9mm ammo, it must use Ruger's expensive ammo?

  TWO (2) 15 rounds steel magazines included. This Ruger will work with any 9mm ammo. I shot inexpensive federal bulk 9mm through it and it functions perfectly. You don't need Ruger's expensive ammo. It will shoot +p and everything. I hope this helps!
• Q: does it have a chamber view port or a chamber loaded indacater ?

  John, yes, the loaded chamber view port allows cartridge in the chamber to be seen when slide is closed. Also, Internal hammer is visible in the ready-to-fire, cocked position. Have a great day sir!

• Q: I noticed my security 9 has a little bit of play in the slide shifting left and right on the slide rails. For example when you shake the gun you can hear it rattle. Is this normal?

  A little play is normal, but it shouldn't affect reliability, if it malfunctions during shooting id contact ruger and send it in, but it shouldn't be an issue.
  James Reeves on TFBTV always does the Maraca test just for fun to see how much play there is between the slide and rails on a gun, and there are quite a few that rattle, but then run flawlessly.
• Q: Is guide rod for Security 9 the same size as Ruger SR-9

  The Ruger Security 9 is an excellent handgung, and would serve you well as a home defense, weapon or an everyday carry piece, as long as you don't mind carrying a full size gun, some smaller in stature people don't like carrying full size guns as they can be harder to conceal, I'm 6'2" 210 and can conceal a full size pistol with no issues.
  This Pistol is a work horse and is well built, I e seen some complain that the trigger is not the greatest, but it is still reliable, durable and as accurate as the shooter. Especially at self defense distances.
  Id also give you warning that after market support is going to be limited when compared to lgock, and SW (stuff like holsters, replacement sights, and trigger upgrades) there is some after market support just not a ton. But really after market upgrades aren't a necessity.
  As far as ammo 9mm ammo comes in different bullet weights (most common 115gr, 124gr, 147gr) i recommend getting the same weight practice ammo as you get for defensive ammo, I like 124gr, training get standard ball ammo,, and defensive get hollow points or frangivle ammo, as far as Brands go right now any thing in stock an affordable, when ammo production catches up to demand Blazer brass, and federal T&P for training, and Speer Gold Dot or Federal HST for defensive ammo.

  I have you remove the 15 round mags that it comes with the 10 round mags?

  Harian, unfortunately not. Bud's will remove the mags, but will not replace them with 10 rd mags. That will be up to you to replace them.
