When shooting my heavy barreled 308, I can usually stick to the usual American rounds ranging from 150 to 168 grains with little to no inconsistency. My gun will just eat up those rounds and never have a problem with a 1 inch group at 125 yards; however, although I found there to be no quality control issues at all with this ammo, I did find it to be the first ammo through my gun that could not get any better than a 2 inch group. Every gun is different, but nonetheless, this round would serve well as a plinking round without sniper-like accuracy.

Great 308win ammo can’t beat these prices.

These FMJ rounds were exactly what I was looking for when breaking in. The product was just as advertised, 150gr FMJ .308WIN, and hasn%u2019t had any duds. It%u2019s not the cheapest, but for brass casings and non coated bullets it%u2019s one of the most economical deals out there. Most rifle manufacturers will proclaim warranty issues if using non-brass casings or coated bullets, so with these reasonably priced rounds you%u2019re safe with the gun manufacturer. Also, these arrived in the mail on the third day after ordering with regular shipping.

In all honesty, I didn't think this ammo would perform well. I ever gave it a chance...I have been missing out! I shoot this out of my Savage 10 .308 with a 20" heavy barrel. I've shot out to 600 yards at steel targets here in California at a local shooting range with no problems. I've never had a malfunction. At 200 yards I hit the bullseye of my person silhouette target almost every single time, with exception to a random flyer. It is even better at 100 yards. My Leupold scope helps out a lot. It's pretty clean. I mean, when it's time to clean the rifle there's not too much to clean other than the normal stuff. I've measured the diameter of many of the casings and bullets. I took 1 round out of the many boxes I've bought. It's mostly all the same measurements. I've weighed the amount of powder of those rounds and it's very consistent. I feel confident with this round. The price at here at Bud's is amazing! I'm not a "precision shooter." I mostly try to hit steel, but occasionally my paper targets. This performs very well. I gave my cousin 3 boxes when we went to the range. He used his Howa and Ruger rifles. He had no problems hitting orange shotgun clay targets at 300 yards. The last thing I'll say is make sure you have a quality optic and a decent trigger pull. A heavy trigger pull won't help in accuracy and precision. Have fun! Join the NRA!
