Yes. It's a no go on the threaded barrels here in NY. My LGS had one with a threaded cap. They said when they get them in with a threaded barrel they seal a cap on them so you're unable to utilize the threads.

Yes, +p ammunition is fine in Ruger pc carbines. I own one of these and it shoots +p just fine. The manufacturer recommends not to use aluminum cased ammo in this though, other than that you're good. Hope this helps.

Depending on your skill as a shooter, shooting conditions, ammo selected, and your optic, it'll shoot pretty accurately out to 100yd and will shoot the peсker off a fly inside of that distance. You could potentially shoot further then 100yds but you'd have to really dial in your dope and know your hold overs.

Yes, I bought a Ruger pc carbine with the American flag finish. Wasn't sure how I felt about it at first and figured wouldn't get very good accuracy out of it especially at 100-150 yards. I have small gongs set up at 100 yards 1,2 and 3 inch gongs. I can hit the two inch gong every time if I do my part and the one inch gong probably 6-7 times out of 10. That's with an inexpensive $80 2-8 scope. Your not going to get half inch groups at 100 yards but for a 9mm figure 1.5-2 inch groups isn't bad at all. Again I bought this on a whim and didn't know how I felt about it until I started shooting it. It quickly became one of my favorites. Hope this helps.

Tim, it will accept all but older Glock double stack mags. Older Glock® magazines that feature only one magazine latch slot may still be used with the PC Carbine™, but the magazine release button must remain on the left side of the rifle as shipped from the factory. The magazine release button should not be reversed when using this type of magazine as the magazine will not properly lock into the magazine well. Early versions of Glock®-brand magazines with a “U” shaped notch at the rear of the magazine feed lips will not function in the PC Carbine™

Yes this comes with an SR9 magwell installed, and a magwell for Glock magazines.

YES, it accepts all double-stack 9mm Glock 19 and 17 magazines. It Will not work with a single stack magazine. I hope this helps!

The Ruger PC Carbine is a take-down rifle chambered in 9mm. It comes standard with innovative features such as a custom "dead blow" tungsten weight which shortens bolt travel and simultaneously reduces both felt recoil and muzzle rise. It also has interchangeable magazine wells, one which accepts Ruger SR-Series and the new Ruger Security 9 mags, and another which accepts Glock mags. The bolt is machined from heat treated, chrome-moly steel to ensure strength, structural integrity and durability. Takedown is as simple as locking the bolt back, verifying that the rifle is unloaded, pushing a recessed lever, twisting the sub-assemblies and pulling them apart.

Just got this about two weeks ago and I am impressed. I wanted to switch over the mag release button since I am left handed and while doing that changed out the Ruger insert for the Glock. Magic, all was easy. Bought a couple of Glock mags Gen 5 17 rd as suggested and no issues. I highly recommend this for anyone who wants something for either camping, travel, self defense and ease of use.

Received my Ruger PC Takedown 9mm Carbine from Buds quickly after I ordered it. The conversion to Glock magazines was a snap -- about 5 minutes. Cleaned it and took it to the range. It performed flawlessly - no misfeeds or ejection problems. Accuracy seems very good (better than my abilities). Haven't shot a ghost (peep) sight since I was a kid shooting a 22 in a gun club - will take some getting used to. Sight adjustment was necessary, but very easy. Scaled elevation setting and windage were straight forward. Fluted barrel had sharp edges. All in all a good purchase.
