The Rhino is the most innovative development in revolver technology in decades, if not since the creation of the revolver itself. Refusing to be constrained by tradition and previous design limitations, the Rhino has improvements that move the revolver forward into the 21st century. Unconventional in appearance and superior by performance, the Rhino fires from the bottom of the cylinder rather than the top. This dramatically reduces muzzle rise and recoil felt by lowering the axis of the bore almost to the palm of the shooters hand. An aluminum alloy frame and barrel shroud make the Rhino lightweight and easy to carry. Accessory rails on the bottom of the barrel shroud on the 4”, 5” and 6” barrel models easily allow mounting lights or lasers. The 6” barrel models come with both rails on top and bottom to easily mount optics as well as lights or lasers. The snag resistant “hammer” is actually a cocking device because of the Rhino’s innovative completely enclosed firing mechanism which can be fired either single or double action. A cocked indicator is clearly visible to indicate the internal hammer status. Another innovation is the hexagonal cylinder which keeps the revolver’s width to a minimum. Available in 2”, 4”, 5” and 6” barrel models in black or stainless finishes, all Rhino revolvers feature an easy to see fiber optic front sight.

This is thee First 'Snub-nose' of ANY Kind I've Ever considered owning. Plus 'Chiappa's Unique Style, and 'Performance' was what caught my eye to begin with. The 'Science' of the 6 O'clock Cylinder configuration, and the Lack of 'Muzzle' flip.......AND with 'It's' being a .357 Magnum [My FAVORITE Round since the '70's] is what made me a Believer in Thee Rhino.

I have had this revolver for awhile now and I absolutely love it. I have a concealed weapons permit and I have it in my purse or I wear it in a kydex iwb holster at all times. It shoots smoothly and accurately with hardly any recoil. Very happy with my purchase. Barbara K

Nothing I can say in a written review will do this pistol justice. I've been shooting for a number of years and have always been partial to wheelguns for their simplicity of operation and reliability. My only gripe with most small snubbies is most are only 5 rounds and the muzzle flip is typically pretty bad making them less that comfortable to shoot. These problems do not exist with the Chiappa Rhino. The Rhino is a 6 shot with no appreciable difference in size from other small revolvers thanks to it's flat sided cylinder. The extra round is nice, but what about that muzzle flip. Well...just go shoot one. The bottom firing barrel thing is not marketing hype or a gimmick. It works! Shooting .38 Special is drama free and even a 158 grain full load .357 Magnum is not uncomfortable to shoot. It's snappy as it's still a small, light gun...but the rubber grip combined with the low bore axis makes very reasonable felt recoil.
Now I hear you, "It's too expensive" and yeah, maybe it is. But here's what you have to think about. Are you going to go to the range and shoot a carry revolver that you don't enjoy shooting? If not, you may not be proficient enough if you ever have to use it in a self defense situation. The Rhino is actually very fun to shoot. One of my favorite guns to put lead down range with. It's nothing to shoot 100 rounds or more through it in one range visit. Your hand won't hurt. You're wrist won't hurt. It's just a pleasure to shoot. I have a .380 that is harder on my hands than shooting .357 Mag through the Rhino.
To sweeten the deal, the Rhino is milled for moon clips and comes with a package of three. I do put some of my defense ammo through the gun for practice, but when I go to the range to shoot, or when I dry fire practice at home, it's really convenient to just pop the expensive defense ammo out in the moon clip. I also have several moon clips loaded in various places. They are a considerably faster reload than even speed loaders (and I have some of those too).
Lastly, the double action trigger is the best I've ever used. Smooth and progressive, but a great safety feature as you have to deliberately pull it to fire. You won't see any accidental discharges unless you do something unsafe.

I am very impressed with this fire arm. I bought the 200D because I saw no need to have a cocking lever. In my opinion, a revolver cocked to activate single action creates a trigger that is too sensitive for CCW use, at least for me. The cocking lever is also a potential snagging point. i am really happy with this gun. I have only used .38 special so far, but the barrel design leads to minimal recoil, and I have purchased 357 Magnum to experience the difference. This is a great gun and showed no finish imperfections. Arrived from Bud's very quickly.

Thanks to the Rhino, I'm considering selling my Ruger SP101s and my GP100. I shot a box of the hottest 357s that were available at the range; I could have shot those 357s all night, incredible! I'm very impressed! I was skeptical at first, prior to shooting the Rhino, but now, I'm a believer! If you take the plunge and buy one, you will not look at your other revolvers the same again!

Very impressed with the service from the website. I ordered this handgun on Tuesday morning and received it on Thursday! That's awesome. The gym itself is everything I hoped for. I can't wait to fire it. 10/10 will buy from this website again.

The Rhino 200D has a fantastic feel. This will be a great conceal carry, no hammer to snag on clothes.

I received the Chiappa Rhino 200D (DAO) about a week after I ordered it. Took it to the range after reading the manual and was very pleased with the firearm's performance. Felt recoil was noticeably less than a regular 2" revolver even with 357 Magnum rounds. It is very much of a point and shoot revolver. Just put the fiber optic front sight on the target, pull the trigger, and you get a good hit. I have had no problems with it. It came with an OWB holster, but I did a search and found several holster shops that will make an IWB, so I ordered one. Many thanks to Bud's for their help.
