Fantastic ammunition. On the range I can hold 1/2" or better groups at 100yds, often one ragged hole. In the field, I just got back from a mulie/pronghorn combo hunt in Wyoming. Both were mature, older animals taken between 150 and 200 yds. Both were one shot kills center mass just behind the shoulder, both left exit holes between 1" and 1-1/2", neither animal went more than 30 yds. I was a little surprised that I didn't get a bang/flop but both animals expired in just a few seconds and still in sight, leaving a very happy guide with no tracking job.
I had some concerns about excessive meat damage with a 300WM on deer sized animals but shooting just behind the shoulder produced little to no bloodshot meat.
I've always been a partition fan and that's all I've used on the couple of elk hunts I've been on, but the 180 Accubonds will be with me next time.
