The 3'' shells had to much kick for my old shoulder so I bought a 930 Mossberg and the green lighting shells ! They have the same knock down on the deer without the hurt !

I have been hunting for 14 years using the Brenneke original slug for smooth bore barrels. This year I decided to change things up a little and decided to go with this Heavy field short magnum. I am very very happy with the results I got this year from hunting white tail deer in NY. I personally used this bullet in my 12ga ithaca and from 90yards I took down a 7 point and dropped it where it stood. The deer never moved it was a great ending to a hunting season, and I would highly recommend this product to anyone who loves shooting smooth bore shotguns. fairly small entry hole, but a large exit hole and honestly tore the inside of the deer up, the round went right through the top of the heart and basically exploded it leaving nothing left. A fantastic round and if well placed will deliver maximum damage.
