The Gripwell weighs in at 110 grams. The Gripwell is independent of the barrel length and can be interchanged between a full length weapon and a carbine length. In high stress environment it has been shown that gross motor skills can be repeated without conscious thought where fine motor skills take repetitious training to be able to be accomplished properly and with speed. The Gripwell allows the operator to reload quickly by adding a funnel to the magazine well that allows the use of gross motor skills. This has shown reduction of up to 21% in time per magazine change in newer personnel and 12% in trained operators.
