I have been a user of Hornady Critical Defense since I first saw them on Paul Harrel's YouTube channel. He did a review a few years ago now of all then in production hollow point rounds. From .380 on up and from barrel lengths two inches on out. The only round in the test that always opened up and never over penetrated was this one. And in other similar tests in the years since it continues to perform.
