Shells are held in weapon. I expect they will work fine if needed.

These rounds perform well in my Rem. 870 configured with both short and long barrels. They hold a tight pattern up to at least 10 yards. Haven’t tried them much beyond that as I don’t imagine using them for defense beyond that distance.

Well, it's 00 and it's 1600fps. Ordered 4 packs from buds to see how it works in Benelli M4. Went thru 2 packs (20 shells). Zero issues in semi-auto shotgun. Don't laugh but it kicks and kicks hard. I love it, my shoulder doesn't. Now I need to order more.

When it comes to personal defense I always think Hornady and these Hornady Critical Defense 12 gauge shotgun shells are no exception. Hopefully I will never have to use them but if I do I trust these to perform up to and even exceed my expectations of them. Hornady Is the best and when I carry a weapon you can be assured that it has Hornaday ammunition. Thanks Bud's for the great deal!!

These are excellent rounds. They are quite stiff but that's irrelevant when defending yourself. The power packed in this cartridge is formidable. I was able to destroy a pork shoulder with just two shells. After shooting them, I immediately purchased some for my mother to use in her home defense shotgun. The shell casing is durable and high quality and the brass seems to be corrosion resistant. For a dollar a shell, I don't think you can beat these.
