round and is as simple and easy to use as it is reliable.
The Model 29 Machine Engraved features scroll engraving on the frame,
cylinder, and barrel with an engraved wood grip. It has a pinned red
ramp front sight and micro adjustable rear sight.
This model has a blued metal finish and includes a wooden mahogany
presentation case.

For the amount of money the engraving was not what I expected and when first got it to ffl It looked like a used gun even ffl asked was it used it was so dirty the finish is not as good as the guns of yesterday just simple bluing the N frame are big you will have a hand full to me its not worth the amount of money should have bought the python

I am extremely pleased with the purchase of the SW model 29. I have wanted this revolver for some time and decided to just go for it. I must admit it is a pretty gun and could be a safe queen, but i bought it to shoot. It handles the 240g.magnum rounds well but they are a hand full. The 180 g 44 specials are just plain fun to shoot. I'm sure this gun will give me years of excellent service and i will pass it on to my son.

This S&W M29 is a beautiful gun of course it has S&W quality and the fit and finish is great the Engraving is perfect i highly recommend it

Love this firearm but paid entirely too much for it. We have read many bad comments about these guns not handling hotter ammo. We have not experienced any issues but this revolver is accurate, comfortable and less felt recoil than my GP100 357 magnum. Like it quite a lot.

Had send the grips back to S&W was missing a screw for the grips check it over and must say the finish is very bad, S&W don’t make revolvers like they did in the 70’s Poor Craftman work......... Thanks

Haven't shot this gun yet so can't comment on that aspect. However, extremely disappointed with the finish and engraving. I opened the crane and there was so much rust over the serial no. I could not read it. I had to clean off the rust before I could make out the serial No. The overall appearance of the gun was dull, I took a clean white cloth and rubbed the gun and it was very rusty. The engraving on the barrel and cylinder is so faint it appears more like a defect than engraving. Overall, very disappointed. I can't believe S&W would let a firearm leave the factory in this condition. Also, Bud's should have inspected before shipping. I have a 30 year old blued Ruger 357 that still does not exhibit any rust.

Very pleased with the revolver, it's great. Haven't shot it and might not for a time. Retired LEO and have owned several Smith&Wesson revolvers. I think the older ones, Model 29-2 for instance, had a little nicer finish. The wooden presentation case is nice, the brass latch and hinges are stamped and a little tacky, but for the price of this revolver, delivered, from Bud's I don't think you can go wrong. Buy while you can. 5 stars.
