If you like it, and have the money, get it. Plain and simple. It's not hand engraved, super expensive. Doubt anyone else at the range will have one, and you'll probably get complements.

Only you can answer if it is worth the money. The gun looks very good and M29s shoot great. For me I would buy a plain non engraved version as my guns are valued as shooters. for the same reason I like Redhawks over the S&W M29

Found review - The Model 29 is a 44 mag like all other S&W 29's. Bluing is excellent as is the engraving. The grips are splendid but not at all glossy; the photo is a little off. A coat of Liquid Gold or Tung Oil is good for the wood grips. Better than shiny lacquer.

I truly enjoy this gun . Beautiful and fun to shoot . Buds were great to deal with. I had never bought a gun using the online service. But times have changed . Buds explained everything as best as they possibly could to me . Considering I had never went through the online process before and have a hard time trusting the online system. But every time I called them ,4 times I think . I was able to speak to the same representative . And my questions answered. For the amount of money the engraving was not what I expected and when first got it to ffl It looked like a used gun even ffl asked was it used it was so dirty the finish is not as good as the guns of yesterday just simple bluing the N frame are big you will have a hand full to me its not worth the amount of money should have bought the python

I am extremely pleased with the purchase of the SW model 29. I have wanted this revolver for some time and decided to just go for it. I must admit it is a pretty gun and could be a safe queen, but i bought it to shoot. It handles the 240g.magnum rounds well but they are a hand full. The 180 g 44 specials are just plain fun to shoot. I'm sure this gun will give me years of excellent service and i will pass it on to my son.
