This model is not only the best entry level 1911 cmd model but, looks & performs compared to much higher priced brands . So far I've put about 100 rounds through it & not one malfunction . Shoots accurate & feels good in the hand ,I suggest the Hogue grips that I added contribute to that. I have a black Citadel cmd that I have had for several years & never had a malfunction with it either , I don't think you can go wrong with Citadel ,after all they have been making 1911s in the Philippines for over 70 years.

gun was a factory return found the factory slip in the box, where the previous owner had returned it for mutiple problems. I have never bought a citadel before so I cant compare, the fit and finish are rough and shotty, the action is hard and not smooth at all. you pay for what you get. Buds is great though and im always impressed with there customer care.
