Used several times to put down hogs and deer. Bullet stays together and I have actually found the projectile lodged in the animal multiple times leading me to believe that this round does a great job at dumping all of its energy into the animal. Usually it is lodged between 12-18" into the animal but I have found it at the hind end of a hog after taking a head on shot between the eyes. All in all a fantastic round for hunting.

Great ammunition. I have a 308 that shoots this ammunition great. It gives me a awesome group at 100 yards. Barnes so far is great ammunition to harvest game animals with.

By far the best ammo ive ran though my AR10. Cycles great, average 5 shot groups of 1 moa with the occasional sub moa groups.

I have only put this through my Ruger LRPR, so far. This rifle likes this ammo! I am shooting 200 yards, with a 3 round volley. I am shooting off a bench, with a bi-pod and a rear bag. Best so far is 1 3/8" = .69 MOA. Worst so far is 2 3/4" = 1.4 MOA. 36 rounds or 12 volleys. Not bad for factory ammo. Price and shipping from BUD's was good and fast.

Excellent ammo but be AWARE that sometime in the last couple of years, Barnes changed the load for VOR-TX 308 Winchester (7.62 NATO) Tipped TSX and kept the same Mft Item Number, (BB308W2). The old load had a muzzle velocity of 2680 and the new one is 2700. It doesn't seem like much but depending on your gun, at a 100 yards, it could be a significant difference. On my Rem 700 LTR it was 6" low and 2" to the left.
