This is one of the nicest revolvers I have ever owned. Made all of steel in this new world of polymer and alloys, this is how guns used to be. Sturdy, well made, beautiful. The first day I fired It I tried the three different calibers you have the chance to use with this beautiful gun and it is quite a great experience, the functioning of the gun was flawless. Accurate, smooth, powerful and versatile, you can plink, hunt and use it for self defense, don't think it twice, you will not regret having one of this wonderful guns in your collection!

Nice weapon but a bit heavy. Plenty accurate but with heavy trigger pull weight difficult to shoot accurately so changed trigger spring and worked a lot better.

The Ruger Blackhawk is an incredibly fun handgun to shoot at the range. When I first got it, I hated how the small grip felt like I couldn't hold it properly with my hands. Thankfully, aftermarket grips solved that problem. The 9mm is not very accurate but it is far cheaper (at least it used to be at the time of this review) than .357 magnum. The single action gives it a light crisp trigger that I don't believe is even three pounds of pull with how little pressure it takes to pull the trigger. It might not look like an 1800s revolver, it still gets plenty of attention from others at the range who want to check it out.

I like revolvers and unquestionably my favorite is the Ruger Blackhawk convertible. Besides uncanny accuracy and Ruger craftsmanship, it provides you with the capability to not only fire 357MAG and 38s but also 9mm with the extra cylinder. It's got the classic good looks of an authentic western revolver and feels just right in your hand. I highly recommend this great pistol.

This is my second convertable 357/.38/ 9mm . I have a 6.5 and 4.62 length barrell . One is as good as the other . Both are built like tanks . I all so have a .45 w/ 7.5 . I love these guns . At the range im all ways ask if they are single action because they're fast shooters . I like all kinds but a single action ruger is hard to beat ! I'm stile working on the sites but am real close to hhaving it dead nut . Bud's did a good job sending this gun to my FFL and I have no complants . When you hold a bbig fram ruger you know you got something . All my ingle action Rugers are bad to the bone .

p.s I recomend this 4.62 Black Hawk ballance is great . ammo options great 357 and 38 shoot close to the same way while 9mm is low . I simply love my ruger ! You get what you pay for . .

Great revolver and fun to shoot! I've always been more of a modern revolver and semi-auto guy, and I'm still getting used to the feel of this quasi 'old west style shootin iron'. It is probably much more accurate than I am able shoot with it, but, that said, I have not found my accuracy to be that bad all in all. With a bit more practice I'm sure I'll see improvement. The ability to shoot 9mm is a great feature of this package. I have read that the accuracy suffers a bit in 9mm, but I haven't seen the difference yet (considering the above). At this point, I'm mostly just enjoying the format of the revolver, rather than putting it to work on anything serious (although I'm positive it would be up to the task if I did). I was a bit disappointed with the painted aluminum grip frame which has, apparently been used a long time. I would have preferred all steel (as with the stainless model) but that is my own fault for not researching more. Not caring for the paint, I disassembled the revolver and stripped the grip frame down to bare aluminum, which looks and feels a lot better to me. Overall, very satisfied with the firearm and would recommend it so long as the painted aluminum isn't an issue.

Great revolver. Great shooter. I usually shoot 357s with this. I like adjustable sights so I can adjust to how I aim. It shoots POA for me and I couldn't be happier. It's got some recoil with the 4.62 barrel but It's weight helps. Thought about getting it in 45LC/45Auto but since I have this I don't think I need the 45. Happy shooting.

I purchased the Ruger 0308 Blackhawk Convertible 6RD 357MAG/9mm 4.62" from Buds. The ordering process was easy. Pricing was the best. Shipment was fast. And the FFL transfer was smooth (I live in Mass.). I just received the BH and fired it over the weekend. I really like the revolver a lot. It is well built and was accurate with all 3 calibers off-hand. I did not bench shoot to compare, there are plenty of reviews on that if you Google. I did change the grips based on reviews that I read and the gun looks really good with the Ruger Rosewood grips. I have bigger hands so my baby finger rest under the grip sometimes. I will consider buying an oversized grip - but it really was not a problem. Cleaning is easy and swapping the barrels is easy. I am very happy with the purchase.
