BUY THIS GUN! I had a squib round on my 30th round with more rounds fired behind it. This gun barley bulged at the end barrel and didn’t explode like most of the images online. I will have to replace the barrel but my fingers/life was saved because of this gun. I bought it for $707 and is now being sold for almost $100 more so buy this now. Thank you ruger for being the best. Shame on the FSC.

Great gun, great fun. 357 mag is very manageable and 38spec is a pleasure. Im sure the longer barrel helps. My wife is 110lbs and can shoot 38 all day with it...... beautiful wheel gun.

I read many reviews on this handgun before buying one, they all seem to say the same thing. This is a great gun but why the Black front sight ? I agree with that statement. I have only shot this twelve rounds through this handgun but I love it already. I was shooting with snow all around me and behind my target and I still punched out the bulls eye. at twenty five yards. I find that there is very little recoil and no stinging hands, and all in all it is a joy to shoot. I will be replacing the front sight or painting it with orange finger nail polish as one gentleman suggested so I expect my shooting will improve as In punching out the bull I had five in and seven went else where even though they were all on the target. This gun in my opinion is a nine and a half out of ten. Glad I bought it. In closing, Bud's is a great organization to do business with. Good prices, prompt shipping and great packing. I ordered this 6" GP100 in 357mag/38spl and an LCR IN 357mag/38spl. I can shoot the heavier Gp100 one handed with a 180gn hp but you put a 158gn in the LCR and you're definitely gonna feel the recoil! Both guns are great but I started loading the LCR with lighter loads in 38spl. The GP100 has adjustable rear sights and is very accurate. The LCR has a Crmson Trace laser grip and fixed sights. It's a good CCW but I'd try out some different loads to make sure you can handle the recoil and safely and accurately shoot it. The GP100 357mag or my 44mag RedHawk will be my hunting sidearm. Got a lot of wild hogs here in Louisiana.

Simply put, I love this gun. I went back and forth between the S&W and Ruger and decided to go with Ruger 1707. This gun is extremely accurate right out of the box. I highly recommend this handgun.

Good job Ruger! Fit and finish were excellent. Shot a 25 yard target without needing to adjust sights. Trigger was nicer than I expected.
