First and foremost allow me to express my sincere feeling about Bud's Gun Shop. They are nothing short of fantastic. I have made several purchases from Bud's and NEVER disappointed.
As for the Hornady Superformance, they too are fantastic. I have a Winchester 243 and the 58 gr. V-Max groups > 3/4" at 100 yards. I know all the EXPERTS like the heavy bullets for deer but these 58 gr bullets are deadly. They don't go through the animal, and to me that says he has absorbed every foot pound of energy it delivers. Unlike those that pass through, in which you never know how much energy he as actually absorbed. The 58 gr. V-Max comes apart and destroys the internal organs, resulting in a good kill.
No need for those who are sold on the "heavy go through" for blood trailing to try changing my mind. Too much success for that to happen. Good hunting.

At the present time I have been unable to use this particular caliber in the Superformance. However, with past experience with Superformance certainly was the factor in me choosing this in the 243 cal.
I have great confidence in the Hornady ammo.

Great 243 rifle rounds. Hornady makes great, high quality, reliable ammunition. I have used this brand for years and have never been disappointed. OF ALL THE DIFFERENT AMMO I USE IN ALL THE DIFFERENT CALIBERS I SHOOT, THE Hornady V- Max 243 Winchester V-Max 58 GR IS THE MOST ACCURATE & CONSISTANT. & THAT'S NOT IN THE MOST EXPENSIVE RIFLES I HAVE & CERTAINLY NOT WITH MY MOST EXPENSIVE SCOPES EITHER. 1/4 MOA @ 200yds. THE MAJORITY OF THE TIME. THAT GOES FOR THE 22-250 Hornady V- Max ALSO.
