Easy to load, plastic follower seems to prevent rounds from tilting in mag, compared to Sigs and Kimbers with metal followers. Functions well in Sig Emporer Scorpion.

I am very satisfied with this purchase. These magazines are supplementing the Mec-Gar magazine that came with my Rock Island 51420 GI Standard FS Single 45 ACP 5 8+1. (See separate review.) So far as I can, the subjects of this review are the same as the magazine that came with the gun except that these are nickel with plastic followers and the original magazine is black with a metal follower. Yesterday was my first range session with these magazines (and the gun). I fired 100 rounds (half Winchester, half Federal w/aluminum cases, all FMJ) about evenly across the three magazines and the only problems were two FTF on the Federal ammo when shooting 8+1. So that may be the ammo, not the mag. I'll collect more data before considering carry this gun and with these magazines. For now, I'm pleased and am looking forward to shooting with these magazines a lot more.
