Savage Arms 110 Elite Precision Right Hand 300 PRC Bolt Action Rifle - Stainless/Silver, 30" Barrel, 5+1 Rounds, Synthetic, Adjustable Stock

So far the savage 110 Elite Precision 300 PRC has been disappointing. I am a competitive shooter and this rifle will not shoot a 2 or 3 inch MOA at 200 yards. I had another shooter try it also and neither of us could shoot less than a 8 in MOA. I just sent the rifle back to savage at the cost of 83.00 to have the check or change the barrel. It will shoot a 1 in MOA at 100 yds, not a 1/2 in like my other PRC. So that's about all I have to say about it.

Received the firearm and [mostly] all was good...Except for the bolt. Sadly, the bolt arrived with a pretty good gouge/score/scratch running almost the entire length of it. Not sure what the folks in the test firing division of Savage are doing but they need to get a handle on this. I've read MANY posts of new ELITE 110 owners finding the same thing on their "new" rifle. I've read where others have even found their rifle to be highly fouled, as if it had been shot "100s of times" in their words. That wasn't the case with mine...It had a "reasonable" amount of fouling for a test shot [or two]. Again, everything else was in order and seemed in good condition.
As it is the holiday season, Savage Support is closed until Jan 3rd. I'm hoping they will resolve this issue straight away...and I will report my findings/update this review [if possible] at that point. In the interim, I've notified Bud's Support of it all just to give them a heads-up...and we'll see what happens. Bud's has a good reputation for customer support so I'm not so worried in the long run...Though I'm hoping Savage Support does the "right thing" here. Too pricey of a weapon for something like this to be acceptable. I mean, it's not acceptable regardless...but I suppose it stings a little more the deeper you dig in your pocket. :( Fingers crossed...
