The Mossberg Silver Reserve Eventide in 12 gauge is a versatile O/U shotgun suited both for the range and the field. The gun is adequately balanced and weight is acceptable at 7 lbs. Trigger is a bit heavy for the trap range but it is acceptable. Barrel length of 28 inches is adequate. The gun has a "mean look" with an all black cerakote finish. A Turkish gun but pretty well made at this price point. I would like to see an exclusive trap version in a 30" or 32" barrel length. The only complaint I have on the gun is that it is very tight at the hinge connection and barrel selector right out of the box as new. Mossberg customer service stated that the hinge and barrel selector should loosen up with use and some gun grease at the hinge point and with a bit of gun oil at the barrel selector. The gun did loosen up over time when broker in and lubricated. Overall, a decent choice for a starter over-and-under a modest price point for a new shooter.

Shane, yes Sir. It features a single selective trigger, with the barrel selector being internally integrated into the sliding safety selector mounted at the aft end of the abbreviated top tang, directly behind the locking lever. Cheers and stay safe!
