It is gas operated Reviews appear to be mixed it seems to do will with all shells after a 300 round brake in long term reliability is unknown as most people who buy them are occasional shooters looking at a budget shotgun

Hi Dennis and welcome. It is Gas Operated, and reliability is actually quite good. It handles the vast majority of shells no issue that are 1150 plus feet per second or more. It also comes with (5) MobilChoke Style Chokes: Improved Cylinder, Modified, Improved Modified and Full. Cheers and happy holidays

I'd honestly contact Iver Johnson cause some websites are saying this has 4 chokes, some are saying 5, so I'd contact them at 321-636-3377 or email them at service@iverjohnsonarms.com sorry couldn't give a definite answer but hope this helps.

This is a work horse of a gun. It’s a standard imported Turkish semi auto shotgun. As long as your expectations are in line with what you get for $260 you are in for a good cycling, rugged semi auto. 10/10 would buy again.
