The GEMTECH Suppressed Bolt Carrier is a drop in replacement and will allow the shooter to choose between suppressed and unsuppressed settings without any permanent modifications to the firearm. No longer will you need to change gas blocks, buffers, or any other components. Not only that, but with the GEMTECH Suppressed Bolt Carrier, there is a reduction in carrier speed and less felt recoil, bringing the cyclic rate of the suppressed rifle down to unsuppressed levels.

The Gemtech suppressed bolt carrier is a well-crafted unit which dropped-in effortlessly to my AR-platform upper & has operated flawlessly in both suppressed & unsupressed operation. It has been especially useful in mitigating the gas discharge in the chamber in suppressed mode, which is welcomed as I am left-handed and puts my face close to the ejection chamber. A reminder to potential customers that it comes in a carrier-only configuration so buyers will have to supply their own internal bolt group, but took all of five-minutes to install.

Works as it should until the gas key bolts sheared off. It took about 60 rounds before the bolts sheared off.
