I installed it on my S&W M&P Sport II. Quick and easy. The mounting is solid and the top rail is perfectly flush between the original rail on the receiver and this new handguard. I’m very satisfied with this product and highly recommend it!

This is an excellent product! Installation was easy, took less then 10 minutes, and fits like a glove. I was concerned about stability, being that it's a drop in, but this is rock solid!

The MTU001SSM handguard fits very well on my S&W M&P 15 Sport II (#10202) and quick and easy upgrade for top extended rail and M-LOK mounts on the side. I originally had the MTU001SS model first before when I did not know much about AR and add on options, but had I known a little better I would have purchased the current MTU001SSM instead where I have now attached the bipod. Buds has fairly competitive pricing with quick shipping which is always plus too.

I was very hesitant to purchase this as UTG is not exactly what comes to mind for top quality. Most the stuff is fine for square range plinking but not for professional use. This seems to be an exception. Lately UTG have come out with a few products like the Pro line that are better quality than have previously been produced. I would be very cautious of using any UTG product for professional use, but this rail does seem to be holding up very well. First of all it came with all required tools and parts as well as extra fasteners. Fasteners were all pretreated with a thread locking substance. I still add loctite as I dont trust what comes on any fasteners no matter what company they are from. Instillation was straight forward and the forend fit very well. As a drop-in I expected there to be at least some play, but was pleasantly surprised to find almost no play whatsoever. What tiny bit there was, was removed with the included set screws. The 12 o'clock rail lined up perfectly with the reciever as well. All m-lok products have worked great with solid attachment. I am very pleased with the small circumference of the rail allowing for good control and various manipulations, especially aggressively driving the gun to the next target. The only thing I was worried about with the small circumference was barrel heat. I wear gloves almost all the time so this really hasn't been a problem with extended firing. So far I have approx 2000 rounds with the utg forend and have not seen any shifting or play develop. Not saying it won't, but it is ok as of now. I know 2000rds sound like a lot, but would like to see another 2000rds, real world use as well as a couple more drop tests to be fully confident in unequivocally recommending. For example, I have put a LWRCI through 10000rds and very hard use. That for example gives me supreme confidence to recommend. So overall I am quite happy with the product so far. Time will tell if it holds up as well as my Troy drop-ins. I will admit the utg doesn't have the same quality feel as a Troy, MI, Geiselle, etc. By no means does it feel cheap though. Also just because it doesn't have a certain feel, doesn't mean its poor quality either. This is what people said of polymer pistols also and we have seen how that turned out. Hopefully this has helped inform any possible purchasers.

Bought this to replace my wife's standard handguard. She definitely likes the smaller diameter of the handguard. Easy to install. Fits tight - no play.
