I had seen something that these red dots come with a lifetime supply of free replacement batteries. Is that true? Seems far fetched.

Ive personally never heard of them doing so and cant find any information saying they do free battery replacement. Honestly though they are not too horribly expensive and especially since this is motion activated batteries will last quite some time. Sorry but hope this helps.

Arthur, not that I'm aware of, I have one and have not gotten that offer. Crimson Trace offers lifetime battery replacements. That being said, the CR2032 battery has a 40,000 hr life, and costs about $3 to replace. BUT, this does have a lifetime warranty, fully transferable, no receipt required. I Just looked at my owners manual. Have a great day!

The ROMEO5 features Sig's MOTAC (Motion Activated Illumination) which increases battery life by shutting down the system when not in use and instantly activates the system when it senses the slightest vibration or movement. This has a 40,000+ hour battery life. Hope this helps.

Does this romeo 5 come with the low and high picatiny mount?

Will this be a good match with the Ruger AR 556 rifle?

Tony, this will be a perfect match and co-witness with your sights as well. I use a similar sight with the ACSS Reticle from Primary Arms and love it.

Is there any difference in this one and the regular model other than the price tag?

Definitely one of the top quality RDS's that you'll find, especially at this price point. Go onto YouTube and check all the torture test videos...this bad boy stands up to extreme heat, freezing temps, gunshots, and other extreme blunt force trauma and keeps on working. I have 2 of these on different AR platforms and after over 1 year of use I couldn't be happier with its performance and battery life. Buds as always was friendly and fast with their service and shipping. I HIGHLY recommend this red dot sight
