Installed this on my 870. It will not work without modification. You have to file off the two dimples that keep the shell follower from falling out of the end of the stock magazine tube. No where does the instruction or literature on the item explain that. If you install it as shown, you will only be able to fit the same number of shells that you could before. After very careful modification, it works as described. Might be different on other shotguns. Don't buy for the Rem 870 unless you are good at metal shaping.

Looks good, packed really well, and appeared to be of good quality. Unfortunately, the threads wouldn't fit my Linberta, which is supposed to be compatible with Rem 870. I will try another brand.
