Purchased this barrel/receiver for my blued Ruger MKII, and added a Hogue grip in OD green and now looks tighter than ever. My MKII was quite accurate with the stock 4" bull barrel, this barrel is just about the same accuracy but lighter on top. First time installation took longer than expected because I had a little trouble lining up barrel and lower holes where the hammer spring mechanism tension lever goes in through lower up through upper/barrel so took a while to finally press in all the way and engage the lever up to tension the hammer spring assembly. A first disassembly and reassembly, after a few hundred rounds, proved easier to reassemble. The first few hundred round break was on key. Another reason for this upgrade, the threaded barrel. Cycles high velocity and sub-sonic CCI flawlessly with both my 22LR cans. First accessory added, a Tac-Pac accessory rail so I have a red dot optic on the way for it as well. Don't just stand there and over think it, just buy it.

    Rochelle, This is a barrel / receiver combination and is therefore considered a firearm by the ATF. FFL Required.

    HI Jared, No it's just an add on for your MK 22 or .45 Tactical Solutions has the answer with the Pac Lite barrel. Engineered from lightweight aluminum with a steel liner, these barrels are easy to install with no gunsmithing required. They will improve both the balance and accuracy of your pistol and make you feel like a pro. The threaded barrels are equipped with adjustable sights and are drilled and tapped for Pac-Lite scope bases. The muzzle is a standard 1/2x28 thread for use with a suppressor, and a matching thread protector is provided.
