Perfect pistol. Everything about this pistol is perfect, it feels good, shoots good, and looks good. The wooden grip on this is a little thicker then the polymer grips on other p227's, so if you have smaller hands you might not like it as much.

This is one great gun. I've been a big Sig fan for awhile but when I saw the price on this one at Buds. I couldn't resist. The combination of the stainless body and wood grips is even better than the picture. The feel is substantial, the action is smooth and it just feels right in every way. This has definitely become my favorite handgun in a very short amount of time.

What a wonderful gun. As far as I am concerned sig makes the finest handguns made. Shoots like a dream. Factory Winchester ball I chewed up an ash tree at 40 yards with about a 12 inch group but that is on me. I was shooting fast. Only bad thing that happened is when I was picking up the brass I saw what looked like a piece of flint. A piece of the grip that goes back to the beavertail. So I will call sig to see what can be done.In that area the grip is hollowed out a lot and thin. I am not worried. I am sure all will be made right. This is basically a special edition sig made for a distributor and I hope I can get another set of these walnut grips with the round sig emblem in the middle. Recommend? Tonight I will order the 226 40 ASE to get another one!! Then put in a 357 barrel to have a whole set.

This is what the Sig P227 should have been when they first came out. Yes, the new TACOPS verion is excellent but for an all-around beauty that has all the bells and whistles, this is the one. This pistol has a stainless finished slide like the 220 Elite Stainless but also a stainless finished alloy frame with beautiful custom wood grips that feel perfect in my hands. It has an abreviated beavertail on the frame like my Sig Legions to allow a high purchase. Also appears to have the X-5 undercut on the trigger guard for enhanced control. It also comes with Siglite night sights and the outstanding SRT trigger for faster follow-up shots due to the rapid reset. Shooting this 10-14 round pistol is a joy easily satisfying my need for exceptional accuracy. This is a limited edition. If you have an interest in the P227 or simply a collector like me, do yourself a favor and pick one up.
