The Holosun red dot sight is a perfect compliment to an AR pistol build I completed for home security and defense. The AR pistol was built primarily with my wife in mind due to her small stature. The "shake awake" feature ensures that the red dot is always ready when needed, eliminating any fumbling with buttons. The 1/3 co-witness is perfect for both red dot and iron sights, while not interfering with each other. I tried the lower mount included with the unit, but found it too low to the rail to quickly and comfortably acquire the dot. I also really like the last setting retention, unlike other models that power on to a preset that seems either too bright or not bright enough. I am very happy with my selection of this unit.

I really can't think of any cons for this great product. The price, ease of use, and quality are all great. I liked it so much I ordered 2 more and replaced a Vortex Sparc I wasn't happy with and a Bushnell that was good but just lower quality. The instant on is great and it removes an extra step in prep to shoot and the optic is a great quality product. I've had zero problems with all three of them and love them.
