This bipod is designed to quickly attach/detach from an AR15 bayonet lug. It is not meant to be attached any other way. I found that each bayonet lug is slightly different in thickness at the bottom. If the bipod mounting device will not slide onto the bayonet lug then you will need to file the bottom surface of the lug to get the mounting system of the NcStar Bipod to fit. I do not see this as a flaw in the bipod mounting system because each bayonet lug is different. By filing the bottom surface of the lug I was able to get the mounting system to fit perfectly every time.

Returned, doesn't fit the Ruger ar556 bayonet mount

Better than I expected for the price. Good for fun in prone, or for sighting in. Very easy to mount/dismount to the bayonet lug. Its heavy, so not great if your making your end of the world survival rifle, but for target shooting or hunting it will do very well. It also comes with the mount for a rail. No complaints at this price. its exactly what I wanted, and even a little better quality than I expected for the money.
