Does this BP work with reduced recoil loads?

they will work fine after break in with standard velocity 12 ga 2 3/4 loads they may work with lower power target loads THEY will not work with these 7/8 oz 980 fps target loads https://www.budsgunshop.com/product_info.php/products_id/117165/winchester+ammo+aa12fl8+aa+low+recoil+12+gauge+2.75+26+gram+8+shot+25+bx+10+cs

I'm sure they will cycle with no issues after initial break-in of high brass loads.

I've seen reviews on other bullpups that have loading problems with larger magazines. Is anyone having problems with loading with larger magazines with this model?

I want this for home defense. Will I be able to shoot slugs. If so which choke is recommended?

John, yes you can. This comes with a full choke set (Full, Modified, & Improved Cylinder). Improved cylinder will give you the best accuracy with slugs. Do not use full choke for slugs. Stay safe & have a great day!

Okay, do my first answer needs to be "Reviewed" for whatever reason?? I stated you can use Slugs with this model but I suggest a 00 Buckshot for HD to avoid over penetration and get better coverage.

The Tokarev TBP-12M AR platform semi-automatic Bullpup shotgun uses a conventional gas-operated action which is located around the support tube that runs below the barrel. The upper receiver is manufactured from an aluminum alloy while the lower receiver, pistol grip, and stock are manufactured as one piece from impact-resistant polymer. The AR-12 Bullpup Shotgun comes with one 5+1 metal detachable magazine. The top of the receiver has an integral Picatinny rail for mounting rear sights or any optical accessories. The AR-12 12-gauge bullpup shotgun is appropriate for all levels of hunting and sporting enthusiasts. Comes packaged in a nice commercial box with 1 mag and a manual. Includes removable front and rear flip-up sights. Chambered for 2 3/4″ or 3″ Magnum loads.

My wife wanted a keltec ksg 410, so I was looking on buds, and ran across this one. She liked this one better than the keltec. And it was alot cheaper. That made me happy,, now I don't have to buy a 410 reloader. My thoughts on the ksg and the tokarev were, "why in the he!! would you want something like that?" So I got it for her as an anniversary/birthday present. Now about the gun. I took the shotgun to the trap range, shot some light #7 factory loads, it performed flawlessly. I thought using the flip up ar style sights would be a severe disadvantage shooting trap, but they weren't. Next I took the gun on the rifle range and shot around 100 rounds, between buckshot and slugs, they were all reloads of mine, it cycled all of them flawlessly. I've owned other semiautos that wouldn't. This gun doesn't seem to care what it's fed it will cycle everything. It came with 3 choke tubes, a sling and gun lock, and some weird looking tool, I assume it's for disassembling it. To be honest the only negative thing I can say about this gun is the sights that come with the gun are plastic. I put a set of cheap metal fiber optic flip up sights I got off ebay. It has an ar style mag release on the side, just like an ar15, it would be more convenient if it was in front of the magazine, for faster reloads. It is a very compact gun, I have never owned a bull pup before, and the only negative I can say about it is just nit-picking, and has nothing to do with its functionality. It has great balance, and low recoil, unlike my slug gun. I like this gun so much I regret giving it to my wife and not keeping it for myself. Fortunately she let's me use it whenever I want. If you're looking for an assault style trap gun or a cool attention grabbing range toy I would highly recommend this one. I got my sights on a tokarev ar 12 for my next purchase.

Great gun and lots of fun to shoot. Unfortunately, not quite as reliable as the other reviews stated. It fails to feed the first round in the magazing every time. Once that one is cleared, it works flawlessly. (and yes, I reduced the shell count from 5 to 4, but still had the problem.) I hope to solve this issue with a little work and maybe update this review. Regardless, its still a blast to shoot!

love it. Has a small kick can’t wait upgrade with laser and scope. My 20 mag drum malfunctioned after 3shots thats 100$ gone. Not sure what happened.

Nothing compares to a handy 12 gauge for home defense. Mag can be kept loaded and stored separately, pop it in, rack it and get to work.
