Jim, no way for us Community Members to tell. I would ask Buds Customer Service to see if they can get manufacture dates from their Inventory Dept. at 1-859-368-0371 9am-9pm EST Mon-Fri. or use the Blue Chat now button at the bottom right corner 9am to 9pm Mon-Sat and 11am - 7pm Sun (7 days a week)See 2 more answers |
It is a 1911 and most parts will fit (just like with the RIA) but many 1911 parts require fitting the 1911 guns have always required fitting of parts and most aftermarket suppliers build their parts slightly oversize so the can be properly fittedSee 1 more answer |
Q: First time owner with a 1911 Just want to know what kinds of Compensators or Muzzle brake will fit into this 1911
Dillion - There are compensators on the market for 1911s which merely replace the barrel bushing. There is no threading of the barrel required ... But since you're new to 1911s, I would suggest you try shooting this one for at least a bit before you install a compensator. In over 40 years of shooting 1911s I've never felt the recoil really needed any 'compensating', but you might feel differently. You would need one for the 'government' size. Q: What are the best ammunition to run in this gun? I planned on using 240 grain FMJ for the range and 230 grain hollow points for personal defense...
James, This firearm will handle whatever 45 ACP round you throw at it. I would run a couple hundred rounds of your self defense ammo to make sure it cycles 100%-100% of the time.
yes the full size 7 round mags will fit however the Compact or officer size 7 round magazines will not just be careful ordering the full size mags may be listed as government, GI, standard, or commander size magsSee 1 more answer |
No it's very big and the square butt prints under a shirt. The Commander size 1911 with the round butt is a good option. This ATI is not a round butt but is a good option for a low price.See 3 more answers |
