Glad the price dropped. The magazine seems well made and the spring tension release helps with loading. The magazine feed lip being a replaceable wire is a little weird as the metal and the plastic feed lips, as originally designed for the 10/22 last as long as the rifle. I have magazines 40 years old that work fine, so this is a solution to a non-existent problem. The drum magazine does have dimension problems and is too wide to fit any of my 10/22s. So if you purchase this magazine, expect to have to fit it to your rifle. So far, I\\\\\\\'ve not had time to modify the magazine to fit my 10/22s so I have not shot it. Do not expect a drop-in fit.

Perfectly functional drum mag for the 10/22! However, after trying a ton of different ammo in it, the ONLY ammo so far that will work flawlessly every time with no jams at all is Win Super-X 1435FPS. The Win Super-X 1280FPS does not work, nor does any of CCI stuff because of the wax coating.

a surprisingly solid and mostly reliable .22lr drum magazine. If the user follows the instructions regarding loading, and recommended ammo type, this is a reliable drum. I have used it in my 10/22 with CCI Tac22 and CCI standard velocity ammo, and it has been almost 100% reliable. Other brands of ammo, and all hollow points have been hit and miss. My 10/22 has several tuning upgrades, so it is about as reliable as a .22lr self-loader can be. It will cycle the worst bulk ammo with out a hitch out of Ruger factory magazines, so this drum is definitely one of those \'your mileage may vary\' devices. I have a new production Ruger Charger, which is all around a tighter built firearm than my slightly older 10/22, and it will not accept the GSG drum; it\'s just too tight a fit in the magazine well to seat.

This mag has lots of mixed reviews, unfortunately I had mixed results. First you must not spin the wheel on the back while empty and I did might be why I had mixed results. This item says in description it fits the charger pistol....and it did not fit mine. It fit my 10/22 rifle perfectly but I got it for my charger. I had to file the sides until it could feed smoothly into the mag well, this however lead to metal shavings all over and may have also contributed to my issues, I have an upgrade extractor that to this point has run 100% of all my ammo 1% failure to ignite as expected from bulk ammo. The mag has warning label about not using waxed tip ammo ie use copper plated ammo only. I use use copper plated only so no wax buildup and I clean my my firearms after every use. Taking all the variables into consideration this was my experience with the first 110 rounds....jam after each shot for first 10 or 11. I had to clear each shot due to double feed or failure to feed or failure to eject. After that it was MERICA rock and roll about 80 rounds no issues then a feeding issue at the bottom 10. 2nd time I loaded about 80 rounds and had zero issues. I recommend not filling past 100 for best results, upgrade extractor, and maybe a spring kit for timing.
