Barrel: machined from bar stock with 7 lands and grooves having a 16‐1 right hand twist.
Receiver: 7075‐T6 aircraft grade heat treated aluminum alloy, machined from bar stock.
Grip/Frame: Made from Zytel polymer, with ergonomic finger grooves and an integral "RE-COIL CUSHION" on the back‐strap.
Recoil Spring System: all steel, fully encapsulated for ease of disassembly and reassembly.
Slide Lock/Release: steel with a Zytel over molded polymer extension for ease of operation.
3 dot sight system: steel rear sight, adjustable for windage only with locking screw.
Hammer firing system: double action only, internal hammer with inertial firing pin to prevent accidental discharge if dropped.
Manual Guarded Safety: Newly designed with a guard molded into the frame.
Double action trigger: specifically designed for shooter comfort and accuracy by designing the system to have a smooth effortless, consistent 9 pound trigger pull.

Love it. Fits my hand great. No harder to rack than any other gun I've used. I am accurate with it.
No problem loading clips as I've used a Magpul clip loader for years.

I like the gun but the clips were so hard to load that I had to get help
Just to load it. My brother had issues with loading them as well. The bullets kept getting stuck in the clips.

To fire the gun yet. The clip issue has me a little gun shy so I will oil it first before going to the range.

Really nice gun, well constructed. Problem is -- I'm in my early 80s and it's almost impossible for me to pull back the receiver slide because the spring is so strong. Then, if you want to keep the slide back, you have to push up the slide hold button while holding the slide back (very difficult for me). As if that's not tough enough, when you want to release the slide hold button you have to pull the slide back (almost no room for rear movement) and try to disengage the the slide hold button. Unless you have really strong fingers and muscles ( and probably a lot younger) this gun may not be for you.

I'm well pleased with this pistol. The fit in my hand is good. The grip is large enough to give a handful. It is easily disassembled. A great price for a compact 9MM. The reviews I have read in the past have be spot on. Excellent!!!

I like the SCCY CPX-1/2 series so much that I ordered this as a second/backup. Great for conceal carry. In our state we have a 3 day waiting period from date of order and Bud's beat it by 1 day! Fast shipping, competitive prices.

Due to the current outrageous prices (Feb 14 2021) for ammo, I have only shot 20 rounds of FMJ ammo (4 Remington brass and 16 TulAmmo steel) through this pistol. It functioned perfectly. With magazine, the empty gun weighed about 17.5 ounces on my mail scale. The trigger pull was long but smooth. The three white-dot site system is good. The gun locked open after the last round on both 10-round magazines. I have average-sized hands and I did not really like the finger indentations on the grip. I believe SCCY should just go with a straight front-of-grip handle allowing the shooter to put his fingers wherever he wants. Also, this pistol does not have a round-in-chamber indicator. It should. This pistol is made in Daytona Beach, FL. Being a Floridian, I like that. Overall, this is a good gun at a fair price.
