A wonderful, even if less popular, SIG. I received it in timely manner and at a great price from SIG -- my "GO TO" place for finding new firearms!

This is my second of these pistols in 9mm. I had one for a few years then gifted it to a buddy so he’d have something. I realized later it was one of the better pistols I’ve used, and I had to get another. I’ve found the SP2022 to be super reliable and a great weight. Can’t beat the price either. I tested a lot of guns on the market, basically all the main brands and models on the CA roster before getting this originally. Tangent: I don’t know why everyone’s crazy over the (CA version of the) Sig 320, apart from the military “cool factor”. Maybe this is coming from using the Beretta M9 in the Marines for years, but I’d prefer something that’s better than service pistols. And I’m not snobbish if those features come at a bargain price like the 2022. The SP2022 was grandfathered onto the CA DOJ roster, so it doesn’t have the annoying loaded chamber indicator or dangerous magazine disconnect that the 320 does. This is a tried and true platform. Sure, it’s not modular (like at all), but it works for most things (apart from most on-body CCW in CA weather, so you’ll have to get something else for that). For 4-500, you get a Swiss engineered boom stick that loves to shoot and does so reliably. I can’t imagine any reasons to not get it. There are many gun purchases people regret. I’ve never heard of anyone not enjoying a SP2022 or sending it back.

This particular Sig pistol is my favorite! It’s weight is just right for me,having medium to large hands. I like the guns design even though it’s not new. It happens to have the longest barrel in my collection for the time being. The ONLY bad experience of this purchase was when my FFL showed me the 2 broken latches on the gun case. Perhaps Buds will send me a new case,or at the very least send me 2 replacement latches to make me happy again!

After taking this gun to the range, the gun stopped firing. Something broke within the trigger assembly. Contacted Sig to see if they could fix the issue. Quite frustrating with a new pistol.
